There Is / Isn´t and There are/ aren´t

Las expresiones there is and there are hablan de la existencia o no existencia de las cosa.

   There is / isn´t

     Is used in the singular ( and for uncountable things ).
  
              Examples:   There is a dog in the park.
                                  There is a mon at the door.
                                  
     Is  used for singular or uncountable objects in negative.

              Examples:   There isn´t time fot his 
                                  There isn´t a hop for him.

    There are / aren´t

      It is used in the plural.

             Examples:  There are three bottles of beer in the fridge.
                                There are six cats in the living room.
                                There are several shops on this street.

      It is used for objects in the countable or plural form in negative.
        
             Examples:  There aren´t any cookies left!!
                                There aren´t any dogs barking.
